Update 9:45 am 4/26/2023: The #RedCreekFire_CO received two inches of precipitation from the latest weather systems and has been declared 100% contained and controlled as of 4/26/2023 at 9:39 am. 

Update 4:00 pm 4/24/2023: The #RedCreekFire_CO is 80% contained. Precipitation is forecasted to occur over the fire area tonight and tomorrow. Fire managers will continue to monitor fire activity, light smoke may be visible. The San Carlos Ranger District is currently in Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. Update 11:10 am 4/24/2023: Resources are on scene of the 6-acre #RedCreekFire_CO. Low temperatures and high humidity allowed last night's retardant drops to slow fire progression. Smoke may be visible as heavy forest fuels smolder while firefighters work towards containment.  

Update 6:30 pm 4/23/2023: Ground and Air Resources are responding to the #RedCreekFire_CO located 5 miles SE of Wetmore, CO.  The fire is burning in steep, remote terrain. No structures are threatened.
