Scraggy Peak Fire  
  • 4 miles NW of Beulah, CO
  • Reported at 12:45 am
  • Burning in rough, rocky terrain
  • Resources responded 1:01 am
  • Firefighters eventually flown into fire by helicopter
  • Size: 1.25 acres
  • Cause: Lightning
  • 90% contained
  • Update at 1715: Contained

Bear Gulch Fire
  • 9 miles SE of Canon City, CO
  • Reported at 11:45 am
  • Burning in dead and downed oak brush
  • Resources on scene at 12:01 pm
  • Size: 0.1 acre
  • Cause: Lightning
  • Update at 4:17 pm:  Contained/Controlled/Out

252 Fire
  • 5 miles N of Maysville, CO near Mt. Shavano trailhead
  • Reported at 1:03 pm
  • Burning in grass and duff
  • Resources responded at 1:17 pm
  • Size: 0.1 acre
  • Cause: escaped campfire
  • Contained/ Controlled/Out 7/25 @ 2:58 pm

Illegal Campfire
  • Crews leaving the 252 Fire came across another illegal campfire and were able to quickly extinguish it.
